NEW BEDFORD -- Roger Louis Grenon, 75, of New Bedford died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Jeannette C. (Robert) Grenon; they were married 51 years. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Louis A. and Leona (Gamache) Grenon. He was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and a communicant of St. Mary's Church. He worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 223 and was an electrician for local contractors. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Grenon loved to play golf and made a hole in one at the Rochester Golf Course on Sept. 20, 1999. He enjoyed skiing and attending all his grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals. He loved the New England Patriots. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his widow; a son, Donald Grenon, and his wife, Patricia, of Somerset; two daughters, Diane L. Pepin and her husband, Brian, of Acushnet, and Pauline O'Brien and her husband, James, of Rochester; a sister, Lucille Lavoie, and her husband, Paul, of Connecticut; six grandchildren; two nephews and a niece; several cousins; and his caregivers and close friends, Nelson and Hilda Fernandes of New Bedford. He will be cremated. His funeral Mass will be at 9 a. M. Saturday at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.
