Edward J. Gamache, 69, of McDonald Towers died Sunday (May 16, 1993) in Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness. Mr. Gamache was a lifelong resident of Cohoes. He was a graduate of the Cohoes school system. He retired as a warehouseman from the International Harvest Co. in Menands, where he had worked for 18 years. Before that, he worked as a textile employee for Beauknit Co. in Cohoes. Mr. Gamache was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion of Cohoes. Survivors include a wife, Elizabeth Grignon Gamache; two sons, Mark J. Gamache of Waterford and John E. Gamache of Mechanicville; and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church in Cohoes. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waterford.
Calling hours will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
