COHOES -- Elizabeth I. Gamache, 80, of McDonald Tower, Cohoes, died at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, November 6, 2002 after a short illness. She was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Henry and Irene Drogue Grignon. She retired from Standard Manufacturing as a machine operator. She was a member of the Cohoes Senior Citizens, Cohoes Columbiettes Council #192, and a communicant of St. Bernard's Church. She was an avid cook, baker and liked to do ceramics. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Gamache of Cohoes; mother of John E. Gamache and his wife Ann Marie of Mechanicville; mother-in-law of Beatrice Gamache of Waterford; and mother of the late Mark J. Gamache and Leo Gamache; grandmother of Courtney and Ryan of Mechanicville and Thomas, Taylor and Tanner of Waterford; great-grandmother of Matthew Wertman of Mechanicville; sister of Blanche Barsey of Albany, Mrs. John (Lillian) Peak of Latham, Rita McMahon Perreault of Waterford, Mrs. Harry (Diane) Petersen of Ballston Spa, Nelson Grignon and his wife Betty of Cohoes, Clement Grignon and his wife Lucille of Cohoes and the late Henry Grignon; sister-in-law of Theresa Grignon of Cohoes; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 8:30 a.m. from the Dufresne Funeral Home Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes and 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
