ROUSES POINT ? Clara Laware, 81, of Rouses Point, passed away at the home of her daughter Susan in Cadyville, under the care of Hospice.
She was born May 5, 1925, in Rouses Point, the daughter of the late Jerry and Clara (Gamache) Brown. She loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed animals, knitting and going out to eat. Clara was always one to joke and tease.
Her parents; her husband, Vincent Laware; and her sister, Erminie Seifer, predeceased her.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Tender and her husband Tom of Cadyville, Jo Ann Rabideau and her companion Kevin Robinson of Glen Allan, Va.; a stepdaughter, Mary Gerry of Limerick, Maine; four grandchildren, Kimberly Tender and her fiancé Lee Gadway of Cadyville, Timothy Tender of Cadyville, Jessie Rabideau and her fiancé James Swisher of Glen Allan, Va., and Joshua Rabideau of Glen Allan, Va.; one great-grandson, Timothy Gadway of Cadyville; one niece, Neila Massey of Glen Dale, Ariz.; and two nephews, Robert Massey of Fenton, Mich., and David Seifer of Phoenix, Ariz.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point. Following the burial there will be a reception at The Anchorage in Rouses Point.
