AUBURN ? Anita B. Cusson, 72, of Lewiston, left us after a long courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 4, at the Hospice House.
She was born March 23, 1939, in Lewiston, one of 12 children of the late Henry and Eva Gravel. Anita attended school in Lewiston and was a member of Holy Family Parish.
She worked at Penmore Lithographers, as well as many area restaurants. Anita had a caring and giving heart. She valued her family and they were her number one priority. Anita enjoyed playing bingo, cribbage, card games, the piano and scratch tickets.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Raymond and Carol Cusson and Roger and Judy Cusson of Lisbon; sisters, Irene Brown and Diane Beaulieu of Lewiston, Terri Suminski and her companion, Michael Theberge, of Turner, Mrs. Jeanne and Richard Baril of Greene and Mrs. Lucille and Dan Hartzell of Ohio; brothers, Maurice Gravel of Bowdoin, Roland Gravel and Robert Gravel of Lewiston, Gerard and Patricia Gravel of Sabattus and Ronald and Adrienne of Lewiston; six grandchildren, Kevin Cusson, Jeffrey Cusson, Nicole Gamache of Lewiston, Jennifer Gamache of Monmouth, Michelle Wing of Freeport and Nathan Gamache of Lisbon; five great-grandchildren, Jason and Jonathan Williams, Caden and Kylie Ann Wing and Madilynn ?Squeaky? Coulombe; and best friend, Lorraine Fillion of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Eva Gravel; and brother, Roger Gravel.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Anita?s sister, Terri, as well as the Hospice House staff, for the loving care given during Anita?s illness.
