OCALA, Fla. - Anna F.
"Nana" Fortin, 89, died Nov.
4, 2010, at Sylvia's Hospice House.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1921, in Manchester to Leonard and Louise (Piatek) Maciolek.
She was a member of St. Pius X Church and St.
Edmund's in Manchester, and also attended St. Paul's Church in Belleview.
She worked as a waitress at the China Dragon in Hooksett and was owner-operator of La Petite Beauty Salon in Manchester until her retirement.
She was a member of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association.
After working for many years, she then donated her time volunteering at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester, and also to St. Paul's Church Thrift Store in Belleview.
Her favorite activities were gardening, Bunco, shuffleboard, bocce ball, water aerobics exercise, painting with oils and making puzzles with friends. She always enjoyed sharing time with friends and family. She made a difference in many lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, J. H. Edgar Fortin. She was also predeceased by her sister, Stella Fox, and her brother, Michael Maciolek.
Family members include her brother, John Maciolek of Manchester; a son, Richard Fortin and his wife, Betty, of Bedford; two daughters, Diane Jaskolka and her husband, Daniel, of Candia and Joyce Gamache and her husband, Francis, of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and many cherished friends.
A memorial service takes place at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St.
in Manchester, on Monday, Nov. 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
with her memorial service to follow in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Private burial takes place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
