Barry R LaRoche 72
Phoenix - Barry Ralph LaRoche, 72, of Fitchburg MA and Phoenix AZ, passed away on June 16, 2021 after complications during surgery.
Barry was born on May 15,1949 to Mildred and Francis LaRoche in Fitchburg Ma.
Barry worked at Decotone-Permaco a division of Fitchburg Paper Company in his 20's, Sentinel and Enterprise in the 80's, Director of Operations at the Telegram and Gazette for many years and Operations Manager at Leominster News until he retired in 2019.
Barry was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his children and always tried his best to support them. He was generous often opening his home to family and friends in need and was loved by many.
Barry was also passionate about riding motorcycles, playing cards and spending time in Maine with family and friends. In Maine, he was known for his Sunday breakfast and playing cards. He was also a member at the South End National Club and the South Fitchburg Social Club where he made many life-long friends.
Anyone who knew Barry knew that he was a kind soul that worked hard and played hard. Barry was predeceased by Francis LaRoche, Wilfred Gamache and Mildred Gamache. He is survived by his daughter Kristen Reed and her husband Eric Reed of Phoenix Arizona, son, Todd LaRoche and his wife Rebecca LaRoche, of Leominster MA, and grandchildren Spencer LaRoche, Mathew LaRoche, Brady LaRoche, Bella LaRoche and Jack LaRoche, sister Janice Quinn and her husband Joseph Quinn of Leominster Ma., and nephew Jonathan Quinn, nieces Jacqui Quinn and Juli Quinn.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
