Beryl Olson, 90, of Isanti passed away at home January 7, 2012.
Beryl Louise Olson was born July 31, 1921 in Cass Lake, Minn. to Oliver and Linnie (Guthrie) Gamache. She was raised at Cass Lake and graduated from Cass Lake High School. Beryl married Percy Olson on Dec. 27, 1952 in Camden, Minn. They lived in Minneapolis for four years before moving to New Hope where they lived for 21 years. In 1979 they moved to Isanti where she has since made her home. Her husband Percy died on July 15, 1991. Beryl loved watching the birds, chopping wood and just being outdoors. She was a take charge woman and was lovingly called ?Sarge.?
Beryl is survived by her daughter, Joan (Ron) Stawski of Isanti; 2 grandchildren; 1 sister, Bernice ?Kelley? Coomer of Grand Rapids; and by other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held later in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Strike Funeral Home ? Isanti Chapel.
