Clifford Halemano Eberlydied at his home in Kalama'ula, Moloka'i on September 2, 2005. He was born in Lahaina, Maui August 7, 1936. He graduated from the Kamehameha Schools in 1955 and soon after joined the United States Air Force, where he was transferred to Texas and honorably discharged in 1960. He and his wife of 47 years, Lorna, lived and raised their two sons in San Jose, California. He retired in 1991 after 30 years of faithful service with FMC Corp in San Jose - at the age of 55. He and Lorna returned to Kalama'ula (Lornaès childhood home) wherehe renewed his love for spear fishing and he'e hunting. Clifford is survived by his wife, Lorna, sons: Duke Kapono and Adam Kekoa; granddaughters: Momilani and Sanoe; borther: Dewey Eberly.
Memorial services were held at Kala'iakamanuHou Congregational Church onSaturday, Sept. 10th. A private scattering of his ashes took place at his favorite fishing grounds outside Kapuaiwa (Coconut Grove) on Sept. 11th, with the help of Wa'akapaemua Canoe Club.
Monetary gifts will be donated to Hospice Hawai'i(Moloka'i) and the AmericanCAncer Society (Moloka'i)
