Clovis R. Gamache, 78, of Sunset Drive, Merrimack, died Sept. 11, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Gamache was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Nashua, son of the late John and Laura (Lasalle) Gamache. He was a lifelong resident of Nashua and had resided for more than 30 years at 39 Vine St. He was the husband of Jeanne D?arc J. (Neveu) Gamache of Merrimack. Before retirement, Mr. Gamache was employed for more than 40 years at International Paper Box Machine Co. in Nashua. He was a member of American Legion Post 3 in Nashua. Mr. Gamache was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church in South Merrimack. He attended Nashua schools and, after retirement, he received his graduate equivalency diploma in 1989. Mr. Gamache was predeceased by a son, John Gamache; a brother, Leo Gamache; and a sister, Anita Ricker. Besides his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Marc C. and Joanne Gamache of Bedford; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Murray Collette of Merrimack; three grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Collette and Nicolas Gamache; a sister, Doris Durst of Nashua; three sisters-in-law, Sister Estelle Neveu, Yvonne Neveu and Camilla Neveu, all of Nashua; a brother-in-law, Brother Roger Neveu of Nashua; a special friend, Sister Claudette Gagnon of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 14 in St. John Neumann Church, South Merrimack. Burial followed in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. The George R. Rivet Funeral Home in Merrimack was in charge of arrangements.
