Deceased Name: Edgar D. Gamache
Edgar D. Gamache, 64, of 170 Congress Ave., a truck driver for the city Sanitation Department for 22 years before retiring in 1985, died Wednesday at Woonsocket Hospital. He was the husband of Marie (Lambert) Gamache.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Narcisse and Lea (Hebert) Gamache.
Mr. Gamache was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of St. Joseph's Veterans Association. He was a charter member of Club Lafayette.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Paul and Ronald Gamache, both of Woonsocket; two brothers, Armand Gamache of North Smithfield and Robert Gamache of Burrillville; and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Road. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, South Bellingham, Mass.
