Henry Provost
TAMARACK CITY - Henry E. Provost. 83, a resident of Maple St., Tamarack City, was dead on arrival at Calumet Public Hospital, Monday afternoon following an apparent - heart attack at his home. He was born August 24, 1895, in Hubbell, a son of Henry and Catherine Provost and had attended the local schools. He had later lived in Freda, and since 1922 had made his home in Tamarack City.
Mr. Provost was employed by Calumet & Hecia in the Ahmeek Mill as a ball mill repairman for 40 years, retiring in 1960.
On May 5, 1920. he married Anna Paquette. in St. Paul, Minn. She died March 5,1973.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Church of Hubbell.
Surviving are two daughters Mrs. John (Cecilia) Hervonen of Berkly, Mich., and Mrs. Leo (Louise) Beaudoin of Lake Lin-den; two sons, Russell H. Provost of Lake Linden and Hubert E. Provost of Greenfield. Wis.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. John (Agnes) Perreault of Detroit and numerous nieces. nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Cecelia Church. Fr. James Hebein to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Pearce Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday where a Parish prayer service will be held at 8p.m.
