- Notitie bij het huwelijk van Jannetje Pieternella en Pieter Jurry: Relatives entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Melis Thursday evening in honor of the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of Mrs. Melis? parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Noordyk. During the evening cards were played and prizes were awarded to William Froemming, John Gasper and Ernest Rohde, Mrs. John Gasper, Mrs. Wm. Froemming and Mrs. C. Schaap. At midnight a luncheon was served, after which music and singing was enjoyed. Those present were Messrs, and Mesdames Peter Noordyk, J. Baay, P. Blemmel, C. Schaap, E. Stephan, J. Gasper, l. De Munck, A. Pagel, William Melis, B. Fritz, William Froemming and John Melis, James Melis, Ernest Rohde, William Roehring, Owen Nelson, Jos. John Dork, Andrew, Anton and William Noordyk, Cornelius and Jos. Baay, Howard and John Stephan, John, William and Jacob Schaap, William and Leander Gasper, Ervln and Edwin Buss and Merlin Pagel, Mrs. Roehring, Mrs. Nelson, the Misses Florence and Ka te Baker, Minnie Mahnke, Myrtle Nelson, Florence Stephan, Josie and Lena Schaap, Dorothy Buss, Gladys Froemming, Viola Froemming, Janette Melis, Theodora Pagel, Marcella Baay, Cora and Jennie Noordyk. Mr. and Mrs. Noordyk were presented with a purse of money and also flowers and lovely personal gifts. This day also marked the birthday anniversaries of Mr. Noordyk and son Joseph.

- Local Couple Has 45th Anniversary Observance Here:
The 45th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Noordyk, 1711 Calumet d rive, was observed last week Thursday evening, when their children and a group of friends from Plymouth had a party. The social took place at home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Maas, 1725 N. Twentieth street.
Cards were enjoyed during the evening. Children of the couple, who attended the party, are Dick, Andrew, Anton and Joe Noordyk of Plymouth and Mrs. Maas of Sheboygan. William Noordyk of this city was unable to be present. Mr. Noordyk and his wife were wed in the Netherlands in 1903 and came to this country in 1913. They lived for six years at Sheboygan Falls and then moved to farm in Town Greenbush. In 1942 the couple crime to Sheboygan, where they still reside. Mr. Noordyk has been employed by Frost Veneer Co. and the Sheboygan Fabricator Co. He now works for the Electric Sprayit Corp.

The golden event in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Noordyk was observed with an open house on Thursday at their home, 1711A Calumet Dr. Relatives and friends came from Sheboygan, Manitowoc, and Fond du Lac Counties to extend best wishes to the honorees. St. Asenaland, The Netherlands, was the birthplace of Mrs. Noordyk, nee Jennie Noordyk, on Feb. 23, 1882. Mrs. Cornelia Noordyk was her mother. Her husband was born two years previously on Mar. 29 in Poortvliet, The Netherlands, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Noordyk. Marriage vows were exchanged by the couple on Mar. 26, 1903, in Klundert, Holland. Mr. and Mrs. Noordyk came to the United States in May, 1913. The former was engaged in farming in Town Greenbush until 1942, when he and his wife moved to Sheboygan. For six years, until his retirement in 1948, he was employed at Electric Sprayit Co. Both celebrants are in very good health. They are members of First Reformed Church, Sheboygan. Falls. Ten sons and daughters were born to the union, six of whom are living, and attended the celebration. They are Joseph, Route 3, Plymouth; Dirk, Andrew and Anton, Plymouth; William, at home in Sheboygan, and Mrs.Victor (Jennie) Maas, Sheboygan. There also are 21 grandchildren.
