LOWELL -- John C. "Jack" Tiffany, of Lowell, formerly of Dracut, died June 16, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, after a brief illness, aged 76 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Myrna M. (Barrow) Tiffany, with whom he had shared 53 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2013.
Born in Lowell, October 21, 1938, a son of the late John and Nellie (Whittaker) Tiffany. He received his early education in the Lowell school system and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1957.
John enlisted in the U.S. Navy on August 21, 1957, serving as a Seaman aboard the USS Neosho (AO-143) during the Vietnam War, until his honorable discharge in 1959.
After proudly serving his country, he became affiliated with Interstate Construction Company, where he worked for over 25 years.
Jack met "Myrn" on a blind date to the movies in 1957, and they married on May 10, 1960. The couple lived in Lowell for a time before settling in Dracut to raise their growing family.
Mr. Tiffany was a member of William North Lodge A.M. & F.M. and Scottish Rite Valley of Lowell 32nd Degree, MSA. He was a longtime member of Christ Church United in Dracut.
Jack enjoyed traveling with Myrna, working in his yard, taking walks, going to the beach, and playing leisurely rounds of golf at the Long Meadow Golf Club. He also enjoyed going to Jimmy Buffett concerts.
He is survived by a daughter, Kim M. Gamache of Biddeford, Maine; a son, John Tiffany of NC; two granddaughters, Tiffany Gamache and Lindsay Brocher; a grandson, Matthew Gamache; and a great-granddaughter, Maleigh Brocher.
He was the father-in-law of the late Raymond C. Gamache, who died in 2011.
