Marjorie (Cloukey)(Perry) Dirth
ORANGE, MA ? Marjorie E. (Cloukey)(Perry) Dirth, 96, of Putnam Street, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
Born in Ashland, Maine, she was the daughter of Angus and Phoebe (Clark) Cloukey.
Marjorie had worked for Hamilton Orchards in New Salem baking pies where she became known as "The Pie Lady". She had previously worked at the former Minute Tapioca in Orange, Coca-Cola Company and Fran's Clothing.
She was married to Almon F. Dirth Sr. who predeceased her on December 13, 2015. She was previously married to Ralph Perry Sr., who predeceased her on April 28, 1996.
Marjorie loved taking her grandchildren on vacations to Maine, as well as baking bread and pies.
She attended Saint Mary's Church in Orange.
Marjorie is survived by her grandchildren, Malane Dodge and her husband, Kevin, Liza Melo and her husband, Joe, Dawn Marie Hannon and her husband, Pat, Jessica Hopkins and her husband, Jason, Michelle Roll and her husband, Derrick, and Daryl Perry and his partner, Missy. She also is survived by many great grandchildren, and many great, great grandchildren, as well as her daughter in law, Marcia Perry and a sister, Jacqueline Stahl and her husband, Bob, of California.
Marjorie also leaves her step children, Linda Gamache and her husband, Peter, and Butch Dirth and his wife, Debbie, and a brother in law, Arthur (Junior) Dirth.
Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her sons, Daryl Perry in 1993 and Craig Perry in 2007, her brothers, Robert, Freemon, Ralph, Leonard, and Guy, and sisters, Geraldine Cloukey, Frances Guilmette, and Lucy Cameron, along with a step sister, Lorraine Cloukey.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral services and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.
Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
