GAMACHEMrs. Monique Marie Rina Gamache, age 56 years, a resident of 1827 Rankin Street, passed away peacefully at her residence, on Sunday, June 10, 2001 with her family by her side. Born in Timmins, Ontario, she moved to Thunder Bay in 1975. Monique was employed at the Fort William Curling Club as a waitress for eight years, and then at McDonald's Restaurant in the night maintenance department for the past fifteen years. She enjoyed bingo, ceramics, crafts, her flower garden, and especially time spent with her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband Roland; two daughters: Carole McMillan and Darlene Gamache; three sons: Paul (Kim), Richard (Isabel) and Steve (Lori) all of Thunder Bay; ten grandchildren; one brother Roland (Cindy) Pilon of Timmins. Also survived by a niece, nephews, and other relatives all in Timmins and Sudbury. Monique was predeceased by her parents Laurier and Theona Pilon; daughter in infancy; two brothers; Paul in infancy and Peter.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, officiated by Rev. Dan Lapolla of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church. Cremation and a reception will follow. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. , at Harbourview Funeral Centre 499 North Cumberland Street.If friends so desire, donations may be made in Monique's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
