Noella Loretta
Gamache, 93
BRUNSWICK -- Noella L. Gamache, 93, of Cumberland St. died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Maine Medical Center in Portland with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lisbon Falls, on Dec. 21, 1913, the daughter of Phillip and Rosalie St. Pierre Menard. She attended local schools in Brunswick. On Sept. 11, 1937, she married George A. Gamache at St. John's Catholic Church in Brunswick where they continued to live and raise their family.
Noella worked most of her life at home raising their four daughters. Her greatest love was spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-children. She gave a great deal of love to her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. John's Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Third Order of Mary.
She was predeceased by her husband on Oct. 7, 1994; four sisters Rosaria Menard, Ida Thibeault, Regina Paradis, and Maria Menard; and two brothers, Alfred and Leo Menard. She is survived by four daughters, Priscilla and her husband Robert O'Connell of Scarborough, Theresa and her husband Dennis Brooker of Sarasota, Fla., Anne and her husband Gene Labbe of Brunswick, and Carmel and her husband William Rockwood Jr. of Durham; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; one brother, Ovide and his wife Madeleine Menard of Lisbon; two sisters, Laurianne Menard of Brunswick, and Lucille Caouette of Winslow; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2007, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at 11 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, McKeen St., Brunswick with the Rev. Senghas officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Brunswick.
