Patricia Lu Petsinger, 79, of Racine, WI, passed from this life on Thursday, July 10th, 2014 at All Saints Hospital surrounded by family members. Patricia was born on March 16, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Louis and Lillian Gooler. Patricia is survived by her loving children, Michael (Mari) of Denver, CO, Robert of Bensenville, IL, Deborah (Mark) of Glen Ellyn, IL, Catherine (Mike) Czarnecki of Racine, WI, Michelle (Anthony) Harden of Phoenix, AZ, Christine of Phoenix, AZ and Patricia of Phoenix, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; dear sister Vernie Dittberner of MN; sister-in-law Josie (Charles) Petsinger and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert for 58 years, her sister Penny and her brother Richard. After high school she entered the US Army during the Korean War and later graduated from College of DuPage where she received her Associates degree in Nursing. Patricia was a member of St. Petronille's Catholic Church for most of her adult life. Patricia spent most of her career at the Glen Ellyn Clinic (DuPage Medical Group) where she was a nurse for more than 30 years. Visitation will be held to celebrate Patricia's life on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, IL. A service of remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
