Patricia Pope Kloppenburg 1929 - 2018
Naples, FL Patricia "Patty" Pope Kloppenburg, 89, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday, October 16th in Naples. Patty was born in Chicago, the daughter of John T. and Theresa Vaughn Gamache. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Melinda Jane, her parents, her grandmother Julia A. Gamache and her first husband Alan H. Pope, who she married in 1950. She later married Richard G. Kloppenburg in Naples, Florida and he died in 2001. Patty is survived by her children Julie Pope Martin (Significant Other, CJ Gilpin) of Springfield, Larry Pope of Naples, Betsy Pope Goulet (Husband, Joe) of Springfield. Grandchildren Stephanie Danna (John) of Springfield, Jennifer Goulet Anderson (Eric) of Parker, Colorado, Michelle Goulet Sharp (Tyler) of Phoenix, Arizona, Rachel Rambach (Zach) of Springfield, and Joshua Friedman (Jeni) of Springfield. Patty also had nine great grandchildren Julia Danna of Springfield, Kaitlin and Jacob Anderson of Parker, Colorado, Annabelle and Alec Sharp of Phoenix, Arizona, Parker and Mia Belle Rambach of Springfield, and Saxon and Elizabeth Friedman of Springfield.
In true Patty fashion, she left a draft of her obituary for her children to find in a neatly organized file cabinet. She wrote: "Patty enjoyed a full happy life and she especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Patty traveled extensively and had a very successful real estate career and the love of her family and many friends."
Cremation services were provided in Naples and a private family memorial will be held at Patty's favorite restaurant in Springfield. There will be Chardonnay.
