Philip A. Gamache

Philip A. Gamache, 84, a longtime resident of East Templeton, died suddenly Monday, November 14, 2011 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.
Philip, son of the late Maurice E. and Anna P. (Chapalonis) Gamache, was born in Winchendon on February 7, 1927 and lived in the local area all of his life. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was employed with Massachusetts Electric Co. for thirty years, retiring in 1989.
Philip was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner and a member of the Gardner American Legion and Gardner Municipal Golf Course.
He will be sadly missed by one daughter, Karen M. Gamache of Westminster; two brothers, Maurice E. Gamache and his wife Jeanne of Philadelphia and William D. Gamache of St. Cloud, Florida; one sister, Lorraine A. Vaine and her husband Adelard of Winchendon; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Robert G. Gamache who died in 1978.
It being his request, there is no funeral service and burial in Calvary Cemetery Winchendon will be private.
