Daniel E. Alamond, Jr. 1953 - 2018
WHITESBORO - Daniel E. Alamond, Jr., 64, passed away, unexpectedly at his home, on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
He was born on September 15, 1953 in Utica, a son of the late Daniel E. and Mable G. (Gamache) Alamond, Sr. He was a 1971 graduate of Whitesboro Central Schools.
Daniel worked alongside of his dad in the family business, Dan's Lawnmower Service, in Yorkville, for many years. He later accepted a position with Securitas, as a Security Guard, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center until his retirement.
He was a devout member of Historical Old St. John's, in Utica, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He loved computers and ham radios.
He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Alamond, of Whitesboro and Paula Hollenbeck and her husband, John, of Cassville; a nephew, Joseph Michael Furney and Rosanna, of Las Vegas, NV; a niece, Melissa Radziewicz and her husband, Dan, of Herkimer; a great-nephew, Alexander Radiewicz; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., Forty Main St., Whitesboro, with the Rev. John Buehler officiating. Interment will be private in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 22, 2018, prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
