Lewiston ? Robert ?Bob? L. Bosse, 80, of Lisbon, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at Marshwood Rehabilitation Center, April 3.
He was born in Lisbon, March 26, 1927, a son of Louis and Rosenna (Dick) Bosse. He was educated in Lisbon chools and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy.
He married Mary D. Cox on June 1, 1974, at St. Anne?s Catholic Church in Lisbon. He worked for Maine Electronics for well over 20 years until his retirement. He was very much a family man; he was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to be with his wife Mary. Where one was, the other was close behind. They loved their trips to the Portland Mall and going out to eat. He loved his cat, Cindy. He was the king of one-liners and loved to joke.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary D. Bosse of Lisbon; his six children, Ruth Gamache and partner, Dee Gaboury, of Lewiston, Sandra Potvin and husband, Leo, of Lewiston, Joseph LaPointe and wife, Sandra, of Sabattus, Raymond Bosse of Mechanic Falls, Richard Bosse and wife, Nancy, of Leeds, and Charles LaPointe and wife, Terri, of Lewiston; his 11 grandchildren, Richard, Kenneth, Kevin, Jonathan, Jason, Jaime, Matthew, Melissa, Robert, Maxwell and Trish; his 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Gousse of Lisbon; his two brothers-in-law, Charles Cox and Minnie of Lisbon and Kenneth Cox and Peggy of Auburn; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Leah Violet; and a brother, Roland Bosse.
His family wishes to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all the doctors, the staff at CMMC, fourth floor, and Marshwood Rehabilitation Center for all the love and care that they showed Robert and his family at this most difficult time.
