  [S5] SSDI. MARILYN LUTZKER Obituary LUTZKER--Marilyn Lee, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2023 with her children and family members present. She leaves three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was born in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, attended Brooklyn College where she met her husband Michael Lutzker, and later received graduate degrees in Art History and Library Science. She worked as an academic librarian for several decades at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). She lived more than 65 years in Sunnyside Gardens, Queens where she was also politically active for the Democratic Party and various leftist causes. She survived her partner of many years, Mel Jacobson. She was an active member of the Empire Quilters Guild and gave friends and family quilts which they all treasure. After her retirement, she volunteered at the New York Historical Society, and became a world traveler sometimes writing for travel magazines. She will be remembered as a very wise, positive and cheerful person who continually enriched everyone's life who knew her. Published by New York Times on Feb. 1, 2023.
