Services for Mrs. Hazel E. Baltus, 86, of 605 W. Depot St., who died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at St Joseph's Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St John's Catholic Church.
The Rev. Randy E. Olson will officiate. Music will be provided by Wanda Wallis, organist and St John's Church Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Karl, John, Frank and James Baltus and Michael and Phil Smith.
Visitation will be at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel at 4 p.m. today and again Saturday until service time. A St John's Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be at 4 p.m. today followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary service at 7:30 and a parish prayer service at 8 tonight.
She was born Jan. 10, 1905, in Marshfield, to the late Peter and Mary (Rottscheit) Specht. She attended St John's Parochial School.
She was married to Frank M. Baltus Oct 19, 1926, at St John's Catholic Church. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1976. He died Aug. 27, 1986.
She was a life-long resident of Marshfield. Her husband was the owner and operator of the Home Service Station until 1955. He then retired and his son, Vernon, assumed ownership. The business is now known as Baltus Oil Co. Her husband was vice president of the Baltus Oil Co. at the time of his death. She had been admitted to the hospital earlier in the day Wednesday.
She was a member of St John s Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include one son, Vernon F. Baltus of Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Velma) Smith of Sheboygan; one half brother, Kenneth Truhlar of Marshfield; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by two sons, Victor, who died in infancy, and Dr. Dale F. Baltus, one half sister and one granddaughter.
Memorials may be given in her name to Community Foundation of St Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield Medical Research Foundation or St John's Catholic Church.
