  [S5] Obituary. Portland Press Herald (ME) - Saturday, January 11, 1997 Deceased Name: YVETTE M. DEROCHER ENJOYED TRAVELS WITH HER DAUGHTER Yvette M. Derocher, 85, formerly of Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, died Friday at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born in Plessisville, Quebec, a daughter of Dominique and Rose Fillion Provencher, and moved here at the age of 12. On July 13, 1935 she married Wilfred J. Derocher. He died Dec. 19, 1989. For 32 years, Mrs. Derocher worked for Freeport Shoe and later for Auerbach Shoe in Brunswick before retiring in 1973. Mrs. Derocher enjoyed many years of traveling with her daughter, including trips to Europe and Caribbean cruises. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, where she was active in parish life, including the annual St. John's Bazaar. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, 55 Plus and the Daughters of Isabella, which she joined in 1947 and served at all levels including regent from 1980-82. She was named Daughter of the Year in 1983. A daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Joan) Derocher-Gamache of Sabattus, survives. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Church. Spring burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, Brunswick. Edition: CITY Page: 9B
