Obituary for Doris J. Gamache
WINSTED ? Doris J. Gamache, 72, died on April 30, 2019 after a sudden illness with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of John R. Gamache for 41 years. Born May 12, 1947 in New Bedford, MA; the daughter of Albert and Marie Louise (Dupuis) D?Auteuil. She was a loving, caring mother and wife. She loved her family especially her three grandchildren and her friends. She enjoyed when her motor home was at the beach, coffee with friends and long car rides. Doris was thoughtful, kind and always helping when she could. She volunteered at St. Anthony?s School yard when her children were young and also in her younger years, was on a bowling league. She was a health aide and also worked in childcare. In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Michael Jacquemin of Colebrook and Lorrenna Jacquemin Cooke of Ellington; grandkids, Austin, Alyssa and Aiden Cooke, all of Ellington; siblings, Pauline Longworth of FL, Paul D?Auteuil, Lucille D?Auteuil, Armand D?Auteuil and Gerard D?Auteuil, all of MA; two nieces and three nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher Jacquemin. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on May 18, 2019 at St. Joseph?s Church, Winsted at 12 PM.
