Deceased Name: Gary F. Parenteau
ENFIELD, CT - Gary F. Parenteau, 44, of David Street, Enfield, died suddenly April 24 at his home. Gary was born in Hartford, was a lifetime member of the Enfield community, and had attended Enrico Fermi High School. He was employed 25 years at Geno Bologna Heating & Plumbing in Somers. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, motorsports, and especially enjoyed spending time fishing and boating with his son. He was loved by all who knew him. Gary leaves his beloved son, Gary J. Parenteau of Enfield; former spouse, Joann Parenteau of Enfield; a step-son, Jeffrey Sierpurtowski, a step-daughter, Christine Sierpurtowski; his father, Richard Parenteau and his spouse Annie of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; two brothers, Darren Parenteau of West Suffield and Glen Parenteau of Stafford Springs; two sisters, Debra Rowley and her husband Kenneth of West Suffield, Patricia DesLauriers and her husband Douglas of Ludlow, MA; paternal grandparents, Fernand Parenteau of FL, Mary Parenteau of Farmington; and many nieces, and nephews, aunts and uncles. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Jeannine (Gamache) Parenteau (2002), and his maternal grandparents, Armand and Juliette Gamache. Gary's Mass of Christian Burial was held May 1 at St. Martha Church. Committal followed at Springdale Cemetery in East Windsor. Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, was entrusted with arrangements. The family kindly requests that no flowers be sent and that donations be made to Gary's son, Gary J. Parenteau, c/o the Sundstrand Federal Credit Union, 410 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082. The family of Gary Parenteau would like those who read, to know that this man conducted himself deliberately toward enjoying life daily. This was exemplified by his fun-loving nature, his commitment to those he loved, and the deep caring nature of his demeanor.
