Deceased Name: Robert Vernon Jolicoeur
Robert "Bob" Vernon Jolicoeur, age 75 of Baldwin and formerly of Roberts, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Sacred Heart Hospital of Eau Claire.
Bob was born on January 12, 1931, in Kenosha, WI, the son of Clement and Adriana (DeHamer) Jolicoeur. He was raised in Kenosha where he attended school. On August 2, 1951, he was united in marriage to Christel Siebel at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell. This union was blessed with six children.
Bob was proud to be self employed as an over-the-road truck driver as he sub-contracted for such companies as Overland Express and Schanno Transportation. When he wasn't driving he enjoyed farming on their hobby farm, hunting, and fishing early in life. He also enjoyed his horses and taking a ride through the mountains of Wyoming. Another hobby he enjoyed was wood carving. He was a member of the Catholic faith and was active with the Knights of Columbus and the March of Dimes.
He will be remembered by his children: Roberta (Douglas) Swanson of Amery; Christine (Pat) Murphy) of St. Paul; Joanne (Greg) Gamache of Prescott; Rebecca Rosillo of Kansas City, KS; Tom (MaryAnne) of Jim Falls; and Joe (Linda) of Baldwin; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Lorraine) Jolicoeur of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A time of reflection on the life of Bob Jolicoeur will be held on Wednesday, July 5, from 3 to 5 pm at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin. A private prayer service will be held at O'Connell's. Cremation services were held at Countryside Crematory of Baldwin. Burial will be private. Memorials preferred.
