Herbert Leon Mercier, 90, of Nashua died Friday afternoon , Aug. 25, 2006, at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare. Mr. Mercier was born March 14, 1916, in Fitchburg, Mass., a son of the late Raymond A. and Octavia M. (Gamache) Mercier. He was the widower of Annis D. (Fox) Mercier and Irene (LeBouf) Mercier. Mr. Mercier was a machinist for Brockway Glass. He also worked for Commonwealth Plastics in Leominster, Mass. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents and wives, Mr. Mercier was predeceased by five brothers, Oscar, Eugene, Albert, Ernest and Clarence Mercier; and four sisters, Clara McCarty, Doris Campbell, Eula Lie Mercier and Gladys Collette. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Mercier of East Bridgewater, Mass., John and Gabrielle Mercier of Nashua; two step-sons and their wives, Bruce and Connie LeBouf of Milford, and Brian and Susan LeBouf of Leominster; a former daughter-in-law, Barbara LeBouf; seven grandchildren, Keith Mercier and his wife, Mishel; Rayan LeBouf, Shelly LeBouf, Chard LeBouf, Lisa LeBouf Olson, Ross LeBouf and Michell Mercier; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Mercier, Aisa Mercier and Taylor Olson; a sister Rhea Baker of Florida; several nieces and nephews. The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of the arrangements.
