Deceased Name: Geraldine (Bernier) Levesque
Geraldine (Bernier) Levesque, 91, of 5 Grove St., Nashua, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at a local nursing home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Levesque was born April 9, 1911, in St. Francois Montmagny, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Amedee and Lydia (Rousseau) Bernier. She resided in Canada during her youth and moved with her family to Nashua in 1926 and made her home there for the past 76 years.
She was the widow of Thomas Levesque.
Mrs. Levesque was employed by the former Nashua Manufacturing Co. at Jackson Mills and at Textron from 1930 to 1952. She then worked for the former Whitney Screw Corp. for several years before retiring.
She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and loved caring for her family.
Mrs. Levesque was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Nashua. She was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne of St. Francis Xavier Parish and later at Infant Jesus Parish.
She attended grammar school in Canada and high school in Nashua.
Mrs. Levesque was predeceased by a brother, Lionel Bernier; and two sisters, Marcelle Martin and Alfredine Coulombe.
Survivors include a son, Edmond N. Levesque of Nashua; a daughter, G. Anita Perreault of Nashua; five grandchildren and their spouses, Debbra and Robert Uttero of Merrimack, Julie and Daniel Parmenter and Lisa and Marcel Gamache, all of Nashua, Patricia and Raymond Berry of Milford and James and Tammy Levesque of Concord; six great-grandchildren, Christine Uttero, Adam and Kaitlin Parmenter, Liam Gamache, and Andrew and Alicia Berry; a brother and sister-in-law, Amedee and Angeline Bernier of Largo, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
