FORRO, Martha L. - of Burton, age 99, passed away November 11, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM ? 8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. A Rosary and Scripture Service will be conducted by Deacon John Cameron at 7 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Right to Life.
Martha was born in Flint, MI on August 27, 1915, daughter of the late John and Edna (Nadeau) Boegner. She married Ernest J. Forro on May 31, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1997. Martha was a member of many bridge clubs and volunteered at St. Josephs and Genesys Hospitals. Martha was an avid golfer, gardner and cook.
Martha is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Greg Pemberton) Dowler, Peter (Denise) Forro; grandchildren, Amanda Forro, Lisa (Mick) Kamischke; son-in-law, Gary Steele (Colleen); special great-niece, Cheryl Brady; many close nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Steele; siblings, Kathleen Sweeney, Jeanne Robinson, Jessie Rauls, John Boegner, Jr., Alan Boegner, Alec Boegner.
