Died:
- Mary Maggie Jeska was born on April 21, 1921 in Black Brook Township of Polk County, Wisconsin to Chris and Violet Knutson.
She spent her early years in Deronda and was a lifetime active member of Elim Lutheran Church in Range.
On December 18, 1943 she was united in marriage to Arnold Jeska and together they raised 3 daughters. They made their home in rural Turtle Lake.
Mary was "full of life." She enjoyed traveling with Arnold in their motorhome and spending winters at their home in St. Petersburg, Florida; playing cards with friends and family, gardening, dancing to the tunes of Jim Armstrong. She enjoyed every moment spent with her family including niece, Vicky who was her caregiver for several years and could always make her smile and her constant companion, "Skippy".
Mary was under the constant care of daughter, Joan for the past year and passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 7 at the age of 92 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chris and Violet Knutson, husband Arnold, Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Leone Terrill, sister Betty (Knutson) Swager, brothers Russell and Miles Knutson, and son- in- law James King.
Surviving family members include her daughters Joan ("JJ") Jeska, Patricia King and Kathy Bender: Grandson, Chad King and his wife Janet; Great Grandaughter, Lindsey King and McKenna Meyer; Great Grandson, Kody Meyer, sister-in-laws, Doris Torgerson and Sharlene Knutson, several nieces and nephews as well as, extended family members of Amy and Tony Benton, Debbie Kennedy, and Frank Bender and their respective children.
A celebration of Mary's life at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Elim Lutheran Church in Range, Wisconsin.
There will be visitation at the Williamson-White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue N. in Amery, Wisconsin on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM and for the hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Turtle Lake.
