Died:
- Kay Marlys Andresen age 91, of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully November 16, 2024.
She was born September 4, 1933 in Polk Township WI.
She came from a large extended family that was a very supportive community for her. She often talked of her French/Canadian, Swedish, and German heritage. She met Richard Andresen on June 18, and they were married September 2 for 61 years. Dancing was always a big part in their marriage. They had 4 children, Deborah, Dean, Craig, and Rhoda. She was a marvelous mother and a devoted wife. She had interests of her own. She took painting classes wherever she lived, Owatonna MN and Bella Vista AR. She was also interested in decorating and would surprise her neighbors and family of her amazing talents. In Arkansas she was involved with the Peel House in Bentonville AR where she gave tours of their historic civil war mansion. Dancing to swing music was one of her favorite activities. She also enjoyed playing golf, walking and bicycling. She was self taught in many ways. Kay was also a teacher. She taught Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church and taught people how to play bridge with her husband. Kay was mostly a homemaker. However she did some work at H and R Block, helped with school census, and was a questioner for a pollster company. Her husband could make the Donald Duck sound hence they were called Grandma and Grandpa Duck by their 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Kay was happy to make Lee Square in Robbinsdale, MN her final home. She loved the people there and enjoyed her morning coffee group telling jokes and stories. The family really appreciates the community there and support.
