  [S5] Obituary. Union-News (Springfield, MA) - Tuesday, May 13, 1997 Deceased Name: Armand R. Gamache Armand R. Gamache, 91, of 83 Eddywood St., died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center. He was a 35-year engineer for the Uniroyal International Tire Co., retiring in 1975. Born in Southbridge, he lived in Springfield for 55 years. He was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a communicant of Holy Cross Church. He was also a well known ham radio operator for 75 years. His wife, Helen E. (Csigas) Gamache, died in 1995. He leaves three sons, Ronald J. of Westfield, Philip L. of East Longmeadow, and Stanley Regis of Southbridge; a daughter, Therese Ryan of College Park, Md.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral is this morning at the church, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Hafey Springfield Chapels is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 52 Capital Drive, West Springfield, 01089, or to Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Road, Springfield, 01118.
