  Notes	I know the story of how my grandfather (Charles) met his wife .... Unfortunately I do not know the dates of this story, but what I know is that it happens just before the war. My grandfather, who did not want to go to war, has stowed away on a train that took him to New Brunswick. This is where he met my grandmother (Isabelle Haché) and this is where they got married! Thereafter they returned to build a family in St. Eugene de L'Islet. Much later, he lost a leg due to a disease (gangrene) and not because of the war!
