  [S5] Obituary. Providence Journal (RI) - Sunday, June 27, 1993 Deceased Name: Sarto R. Gamache Sarto R. Gamache, 87, of 83 Booth Ave. died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Alida (Lussier) Gamache. Born in Lisbon, Maine, a son of the late Maxime and Leontine (Gagne) Gamache, he lived in Pawtucket for 56 years. He previously lived in South Attleboro, Mass., and Central Falls. Mr. Gamache was an accountant for the State of Rhode Island, serving as former deputy general treasurer for 15 years. He was also employed at the former Manville-Jenckes Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Cecelia Church, and a member of its senior citizens group. He was a member of the AARP. He leaves a son, Denis Gamache of East Tetford, Vt.; three daughters, Jacqueline Normandine of Central Falls, Gilberte Reeves of Pawtucket, and Francoise Rogers of North Attleboro, Mass.; three sisters, Bertha Breault of Hartford, Pauline Ficor of Lynchburg, Va., and Geraldine Rasmussen of Rowayton, Conn.; a brother, Gerard Gamache of Plainfield, Conn.; 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was father of the late Raymond Gamache. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux and Son, 1042 Newport Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 1at St. Cecelia Church, Central Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
