Deceased Name: Hector J. Gamache
Hector J. Gamache, 61, of 309 Wood Ave., a truck driver for the B & W Express Co. for 42 years before retiring in 1982, died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Lucille (Pignolet) Gamache.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Thomas and Alida (Lagace) Gamache.
Mr. Gamache was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the AMVETS, Post 12, Club Marquette, the Teamsters Union, Local 251, the FOPA Lodge 24, and was its chaplain for three years.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Hector Gamache Jr. and Rene Gamache; a daughter, Mrs. Denise Wolstenholme, all of Woonsocket; two brothers, Normand Gamache of Woonsocket and Roger Gamache of North Smithfield; a sister, Mrs. Rita Tardif of Woonsocket, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Louis Church, Rathbun Street. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, South Bellingham.
